Bikur Cholim of Greater Washington

Bikur Cholim of Greater Washington is organized to provide for the needs of the ill in the Jewish Community, with compassion and loving kindness, as guided by Torah law.
Collects donations such as walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, and other medical supplies, and lends them out to people who need them.

Bikur Cholim assists patients and their families by:
organizing volunteers to visit and assist the patients and their families
facilitating access to community resources, when needed
enhancing awareness of health care professionals about the particular needs of Jewish patients
educating the community in the mitzvah of Bikur Cholim
Bikur Cholim services are available to patients who live in or travel to the Greater Washington area for medical treatment.
