An Evening of Remembrance, Resilience, and Hope for a Brighter Future 

This October 7th, join thousands from across the Greater Washington Jewish community to commemorate one year since the horrific attacks in Israel that changed our world forever.

Together, we will remember the lives lost, pray for those still in captivity, honor the survivors, and unite in our communal resilience.

Parking information

While Federation is not organizing official buses, groups are welcome to organize their own. If you are interested in booking discounted (15% off) bus transportation through our preferred vendor, please reach out to bbouweiri@restonlimo.com.

Security at this event is our top priority and is being coordinated in partnership with Federation’s security division, JShield, the Metropolitan Police Department, Community Security Service (CSS), and The Anthem. We will have visible security present both within and outside The Anthem, including as attendees arrive from the Metro and parking areas.

Registration is required. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Doors open at 5:30 PM. To speed up your security screening, please bring your photo ID only essential items.

Prior to entry, all attendees will be screened using metal detectors and all bags will be searched. Backpacks of any size and bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ are not permitted.

Disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated, and any guests causing disruption will be immediately escorted off the premises.

Prohibited items include:

  • Flags, banners, and signs of any kind
  • Backpacks of any size
  • Bags larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • Dedicated video and audio recording devices
  • Outside food and beverage
  • Selfie sticks, monopods, or tripods
  • iPads
  • Self-defense sprays
  • Pets (other than service animals)
  • Weapons (including pocketknives) (regardless of permit)
  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Noisemakers, can-operated air horns, sirens, whistles, and personal safety alarms
  • Laser pointers and flashlights
  • Large umbrellas (collapsible umbrellas under 18″ are permitted but must stay closed while in the venue)
  • Helmets (can be checked at coat check free of charge)

The Anthem and Federation reserve the right to modify this list at any time without notice.

Complimentary water will be available on site; other food and beverage will not be available for purchase. We recommend eating dinner before arrival.
