An Insider’s View of Iron Swords – Returning the Injured to Life

Please join Federation’s Network to hear from Professor Itzik Kreiss, Director General of Sheba Medical Center, the largest recipient of funding from Federation’s Israel Crisis Relief Allocations. Hear how your gifts to the Israel Crisis Fund have helped those affected by the terror attacks on October 7th and how you are supporting Israel’s ongoing recovery efforts, including the work of Sheba Medical Center.

For three decades Professor Kreiss served in the IDF, first as a combat surgeon on the front lines and then ascending through all levels of command until he assumed leadership of the Medical Corps as the IDF Surgeon General. Since 2016, Professor Kreiss has been Director General of Sheba Medical Center, Israel’s largest and best medical center. Since October 7th Sheba has received the most casualties, the most soldiers needing rehabilitation, and the most returning hostages. Prof. Kreiss will give insights into the work Sheba has done in the war, the challenges ahead, and thank the Greater Washington Jewish community for its support.
