The Phyllis Margolius Family Foundation, Inc., established to honor the memory of the Phyllis Ann Goldman Margolius, z”l, is paying it forward by recognizing one exceptional local D.C.-area Jewish communal professional who has made a significant impact on the Jewish community with the prestigious Phyllis G. Margolius Impossible Dream Award.
This year’s recipient is Rabbi Ari Israel who has reshaped the Hillel at the University of Maryland, making it a model for the country and inspired thousands of young Jewish students, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in Jewish communities across the nation. Get to know Ari.
